Coronary Artery Disease

University of Minnesota Physicians, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons have developed a collaborative program for providing advanced therapeutic options for patients with coronary artery disease. Our Robotic Assisted Coronary Bypass Surgery Program and Hybrid Coronary Revascularization Program are recognized nationally.

Our Interventional Cardiology Group has an outstanding Level I STEMI program. The median door-to-balloon time through the Emergency Department is 50 minutes. This is one of the top programs in the Midwest. The interventional cardiology group has also launched an outstanding chest pain program for the rapid recognition and management of chest pain in patients who may be having heart attacks.
